About Asami
ASAMI HORIE / Hair & Makeup Artist
バンタンデザイン研究所、資生堂美容技術専門学校を卒業後、ヘアサロン勤務を経て、ヘアメイクアップアーティスト YASUHIRO MIKAMI氏に師事。2004年独立。
ファッション、広告、ビューティ、アーティストなど幅広い分野でヘアメイクを手がける。
2010年渡英。ロンドンを拠点に、London Fashion Weekでのショーをはじめ、ファッションシューティング、映画、ミュージックビデオ、アーティストのヨーロッパツアーなど、さまざまな現場で活動。
2012年帰国後は東京を拠点に、国内外のブランドビジュアルや広告、雑誌、アーティスト撮影などを中心に活動。海外での経験と英語力を活かし、外国人モデルやアーティスト、海外の撮影チームとの仕事にも数多く携わっている。
ヘアメイクとしての活動と並行し、自身の作品制作にも取り組む。着物をファッションとして新たな視点から表現する「HARMONISE」では都内で3度の展示を開催。また、海外で撮影した作品を発表する「Big Hugs」など、作品展示も行う。
近年はヘアメイクに加え、ブランドやプロダクトのディレクション、ビジュアル制作など、活動領域を広げている。

ASAMI HORIE / Hair & Makeup Artist
Asami Horie is a Tokyo-based hair and makeup artist working across fashion, beauty, advertising, editorial and music.
After studying at Vantan Design Institute and Shiseido Beauty Academy in Tokyo, she began her career at a hair salon before assisting hair and makeup artist Yasuhiro Mikami. She has worked independently as a freelance hair and makeup artist since 2004.
In 2010, Asami moved to London, where she worked across fashion, music and film. Her experience there included shows during London Fashion Week, fashion shoots and editorials, music videos, films, and European tours with artists.
Returning to Tokyo in 2012, she continued to work with both Japanese and international clients on fashion campaigns and lookbooks, beauty and advertising projects, editorials, and shoots with artists and celebrities.
With extensive international experience and professional working proficiency in English, Asami regularly works with international models, artists, photographers and production teams. She also collaborates with overseas creative teams shooting in Japan, communicating comfortably across different cultures and creative environments.
Alongside her commercial work, Asami develops her own creative projects. “HARMONISE” explores kimono through a contemporary fashion perspective and has been exhibited three times in Tokyo. She has also presented “Big Hugs,” featuring works photographed internationally.
In recent years, her practice has expanded beyond hair and makeup into brand and product direction and visual development, while continuing to work across fashion, beauty and image-making.
